Museo de Arte Contemporáneo
de Puerto Rico

Spearheaded the rebranding initiative for Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Puerto Rico, encompassing the development of brand guidelines, web design, and the implementation of a cohesive digital communications strategy across social media, email newsletters, and other platforms. As the Lead Graphic Designer, collaborated closely with various Museum departments, including exhibition, education, film, public engagement, marketing, shop, and administration, to produce digital and print materials harmonizing with the new brand identity. These concerted efforts effectively engaged audiences both online and offline, especially during the pandemic.

Kilómetro

Kilómetro is an exhibition space and bar situated in Santurce, Puerto Rico. Established in December 2015, it is under the artistic direction of Karlo Andrei Ibarra and Yiyo Tirado Rivera. Kilómetro serves as a platform for contemplation and research centered around contemporary artistic practices in Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, and Latin America. As part of the rebranding effort, the goal was to create a cohesive system for exhibitions and events, ensuring an organized and art-centric approach to visual communications.

Bar Cero Punto Dos

Bar 0.2 is a gathering place that celebrates diversity and cultural richness, established by the artists Roberto "Yiyo" Tirado and Karlo Andrei Ibarra in Santurce, Puerto Rico. The challenge in the branding project was to distinguish the Bar from the Gallery while maintaining a distinct yet visually connected identity for both ventures.

Caribbean Social Club

For my thesis project, I captured the essence of the legendary Puerto Rican bar Caribbean Social Club in Brooklyn. I filmed an analog video using a Bolex H16 camera with 35mm film, offering a brief tour of the space with a voiceover by Toñita, the owner. She narrated how the place served as a distraction for the diaspora, concerned about their relatives on the island after Hurricane Maria. As part of the project, I designed a series of postcards, adapting popular iconography such as the Bristol Almanac and Coco Rico soda to the context of the space.
